Greatest Backers Ever,

We return to you with Nom news and other new Nom knowledges!

Where to start? Hmm...how about with a new Red Duke Games project that includes much beautiful art that Horror, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi fans are sure to be interested in - and that includes a Necronomnomnom play(ce)mat? Yep - 24x14 neoprene art mats as suitable for your dinner table (in this case) as your game table!

The Necronomnomnom Playmat/Placemat

This awesome mat is one of more than 40 designs available in our new Kickstarter project launching this month. You can haz preview? Of course you can!

The Next Nom

How about some new Kurt Komoda art for new Nom-related nummies? How about 76 new pieces of such? How about two free samples of the full recipes for two new cocktails - just for sharing and signing up for an email alert about that Playmat project? That's right - just for signing up. You don't even have to back it (but, we hope you will, of course).

So, what is this new project? It's so new - it doesn't have an official name yet! As the Powers of Dark Culinary would have it - The  Necronomnomnom is getting a boozy companion composed entirely of cocktails! It'll be out next year, and has 76 indulgent libations awaiting your rarified palettes. Art sample below, and full recipes to download from Red Duke Games. Just be sure to sign up for the alert on Kickstarter and helping us get the word out (pretty please?). The project launches in less than a week!

This book  will come to you from the same team that brought you The Necronomnomnom - including Hellen Die and Miguel Fliguer; and direct from Countryman Press! Art by Kurt Komoda.

Hope these inspire a...thirst...for more.

Super Quick Update and Small Favor
over 4 years ago – Wed, Oct 02, 2019 at 02:50:47 AM

Beloved Cultists and Formidable Investigators,

We are planning to launch our second Kickstarter by mid month! Unspeakable Carols is up next, and it will be in hand well before the 2020 Holiday Season (so, not this year's season - but well before next). We will be lavishing the same care on this project as we did with The Necronomnomnom.

A few details - per your input:

  • There will definitely be holiday drink recipes to accompany your poetry and songs
  • We will be using a cool font, that will be easier on the eyes
  • Non-song materials, such as perhaps short stories, will be holiday themed if present.
  • We will be offering the book globally, with shipping cost estimates posted up front, and updated through the project if they shift much.

That Small Favor

The Necronomnomnom released to bookstores today! The excitement here is causing weather disturbances. We have started in 38th place in one of our categories on Amazon (cooking humor), and are in the top 100 in all three!

While it is wonderful to start in the top 100 - we can be #1 (with your help). If you can - please consider posting an Amazon review? We're not asking for purchases - and you do not have to have purchased the book from Amazon to leave a review.  As all of the contents of your First Printing Grimoire Editions are included in the Bookstore Edition, we feel your thoughts on the book would be valid, of course (and you can use the Look Inside feature of Amazon to see some of the differences). This is not a clever attempt to get you to purchase - we'd just love your feedback to inform other potential consumables...er...consumers. You've said such nice things here and on our social media pages, can we ask you to spread those wonderful words a little further?

And of course...people do love funny reviews. Just sayin', ye clever adepts...

Amazon

Thank you sooooo much!

A Second Tome Cometh

Awesome Backers of Awesomeness,

We are going to launch a new project soon, but before we do - we'd love to have some input specifically from you.

As foretold, the next book shall be "Unspeakable Carols - A Tome of Lovecraftian Holiday Hymns and Cthulian Canticles" (sample art below)

These will be all original, not published before elsewhere holiday songs and poems. We have the bulk of them written, BUT - there aren't enough to really fill a tome of decent size. Even the Necronomnomnom, at 100+ pages, is a bit on the slim side. So, we have some ideas to bulk it up in fun and cool ways - but we want 100 of you to help pick how that gets done. If you really want a say, but don't make it into the first 100 before the survey ends - tell us in the comments what else you'd enjoy seeing included. The choices are:

  • Multiple versions of the same traditional song are ok by me (i.e, "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" - but with multiple corruptions/versions)
  • Other songs that aren't necessarily holiday themed (but are lovecraftian).
  • Holiday drink recipes, like hot toddies, mulled beverages, etc - like the Necronomnomnom Cocktails
  • Holiday-themed short stories with accompanying art
  • Short stories with accompanying art that don't have to be holiday themed
  • Allow a larger number of backer submissions, for their own lovecraftian holiday songs - even if it means repeats (as with "Rudolph" above) are possible
  • I love ALL the things! Do all the things!

The one-minute survey can be found here: Tell Us Thy Bidding

The Night of the Black Mass

On an unrelated note (see what I did there), we got a few responses from the last update that let us get a couple of people squared away. We feel like there are more of you out there (looking at you, Germany). If you have not heard from us since the last update - please reach out if you have an incomplete pledge. Contact us at [email protected]

Thank you!
